NEW 5-STAR BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN TRANSFORMER STATION
12. April 2018
This June, Denmark’s leading boutique hotel chain Brøchner Hotels opens the doors to a new 5-star luxury boutique hotel in an old transformer station at the most exclusive location in the centre of Copenhagen. Hotel Herman K is so much more than just a hotel and will, like the hotel chain’s other boutique hotels, put Copenhagen on the world map with its design, architecture, gastronomy, art and innovation.
Hotel Herman K is a new 5-star luxury boutique hotel that disrupts traditional hotel luxury. In addition to having Copenhagen’s best and most central location with neighbours such as the city’s main shopping street, finest luxury boutiques, bars, restaurants as well as art museums, Hotel Herman K offers an unprecedented and unique hotel experience.
The converted transformer station from 1963 stands out with a facade of dark bronze slats and large glass doors that automatically draws attention to the lobby and bar with astonishing 12 meters to the ceiling. Here, the raw and unpolished architecture serves as a frame and canvas for a custom-designed art piece, hanging in the middle of the room, casting its living shadows around the lobby.
The contrasts between the hotel’s crude architecture and embracing interior and design, unites and reinforces each other at the same time. This can be seen in the 31 exclusive rooms and suites, which includes remarkable Duplex Suites and a Penthouse Suite with a 40 m2 private roof terrace. In the rooms the bathroom is stored like a gem inside an elegant white marble box, which stands in beautiful contrasts to the designer furniture, soft carpets and blankets.
Throughout the hotel, digital innovation is used to enhance the guest experience. Hotel guests can skip the key card and use their private mobile to unlock the door to their room or suite. When inside the room, guests can easily stream their own media content to the screen and speaker, just like we know from home.
All hotel guests are invited to ‘Wine Hour’ – a signature concept at all Brøchner hotels. Taking the conceptual guest experience to new heights, Hotel Herman K introduces ‘Night Cap Hour’, where the hotel’s exclusive bar invites all hotel guests to settle the day in relaxing surroundings. Both ‘Wine Hour’ and ‘Night Cap Hour’ are of course on the house.
A new restaurant will open at Hotel Herman K and for this, the hotel has engaged in a partnership with the chef and people, that guaranteed the Nordic cuisine restaurant Kadeau two Michelin-stars. The restaurant will contribute with an exciting concept to the unique guest experience but also to the city, as the restaurant will also be open for guests from the outside.
