Say hello to Hotel Ottilia

Once brewing the world-famous Carlsberg beer, now a unique 4+ star luxury boutique hotel with 155 rooms and suites. That’s the story of Hotel Ottilia. Here, you are staying in a true Danish icon which makes it a destination in itself – and an experience you´ll never forget. That’s a promise.

It is not just the history that is unique. The two original listed brewery buildings that combine the Hotel Ottilia each has its individual character making the architecture quite spectacular. Outside, the hotel catches your eye with 64 golden shields covering the façade of the one building that was used for beer storage. Each shield refers to the bottom of a beer bottle. The other building, used for malt storage, stands out with its original tower and spire – and the iconic Dipylon gate connected to the famous Elephant gate.

The mix of historic elements, industrial coolness, and exclusive luxury all combined makes Hotel Ottilia quite the treasure for design-and-architecture lovers. And speaking of treasures, just wait until you step inside the hotel. All around, you can take a tour and explore original elements and loads of storytelling creatively incorporated in the design. Just to name a few: the spine lamp in the lobby bar, the round windows in the rooms, the ceramic tiles and much much more. Even the name of the hotel is a tribute to the wife of the famous Carlsberg’s brewer, Carl Jacobsen. But you need to come and visit us to get the detailed stories. Perhaps over a drink in the bar surrounded by raw silos, the large industrial Dipylon Hall – or in one of our living rooms? Cause all these social spaces await you.

The rooms and suites are as iconic as the rest of the hotel. The minute you walk in, you feel the industrial vibes. The original elements of the two buildings define the individual room interior making them unique in style and design.

Hotel Ottilia has the prime location in the upcoming Carlsberg District in Copenhagen. The area is kicking and buzzing with creative energy. What were once industrial buildings are now designer shops, small boutiques, galleries, and food spots lining the streets side-by-side with the numerous sights of culture. You have 10 minutes the public transport taking you to inner city in a second. So, here you get that trendy upcoming vibe combined with historic gems – and everything you want to see and explore only moments away. Now that’s travel-treasure!
